The meeting was chaired by Wang Ruihua, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Xin Guobin, a member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting and made a speech. Six typical representatives of Zhejiang Economic and Credit Office, Shandong Industrial and Credit Office, Haier Group Company, Sanyi Group Co., Ltd., Xi’an Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. and PICC Information Technology Co., Ltd. exchanged speeches on the progress and experience of implementing intelligent manufacturing.

In order to implement the strategic plan of the Central Committee of the Party and the State Council on the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, in 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology decided to launch a pilot demonstration of intelligent manufacturing. In the past four years, 305 pilot demonstration projects of intelligent manufacturing have been selected, covering 92 industry categories and 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). By focusing on key links, stimulating endogenous motivation of enterprises, focusing on standards first, and exploring system solutions, positive results have been achieved in promoting breakthroughs in key technology areas, promoting industrial collaborative innovation, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, forming distinctive regional intelligent manufacturing development paths, and promoting social investment.

Xin Guobin pointed out that under the new situation, we should take Xi Jinping’s socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era as the guidance, adhere to the established goals and principles, maintain strategic determination, and firmly promote the innovative development of intelligent manufacturing. Firstly, we should strengthen overall coordination and promote the further development of intelligent manufacturing; secondly, we should strive to make up for the shortcomings and continuously strengthen the supporting capacity of intelligent manufacturing; thirdly, we should strengthen mechanism innovation and actively cultivate the ecological system of intelligent manufacturing; fourthly, we should implement classified and precise policies to deepen the application and promotion of subdivided industries as soon as possible; fifthly, we should expand open cooperation and improve the level and level of international cooperation. Xin Guobin requested that the competent departments of industry and telecommunications and relevant departments and bureaus within the Ministry should continue to coordinate and strengthen the guidance and supervision of the promotion of intelligent manufacturing. All trade associations and central enterprise groups should give full play to their subjective initiative and actively undertake the task of promoting intelligent manufacturing in their own industries and groups. He hoped that all localities and industries, including various groups, at different levels and through various ways and channels, would strengthen the exchange and promotion of intelligent manufacturing experience, promote the digitalization, networking and intelligent development of manufacturing industry with solid results, and make new and greater contributions to accelerating the construction of manufacturing power.
